To finally see the baby panda...

On the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, I got to see the 6-month-old baby panda at the National Zoo, Tai Shan. He was quite sleepy, since the keeper brought him out for lunch while he was napping, but that just made him cuter. See a short video of him here.

We also got to see his mom, Mei Xiang, eating some bamboo. She's quite adept at her culinary ingestion skills, as you can see here.
