Transformers live movie trailer

For those of you who were a child of the 80's, like me, probably remember the Transformers phenomenon, with the cartoons and the oh-so-fun toys (I had a great collection--often better than by male classmates, who were subconsciously jealous--and they are still in my mom's attic). I loved the cartoons, but it has been 20 years or so, so I will need to brush up on the characters and names that I don't remember besides Optimus Prime and Megatron. To be released on July 4th, 2007 (I liked the original release date of 7/7/07 better), I hope the live-action movie version doesn't ruin the fun of the originals.

Red lobster or blue? Yes.

In one of those rare occurrences of nature (actually a 1:50-100,000,000 ratio), a man in Maine caught a two-toned lobster, with one side being greenish-blue, and the other like the cooked orange color.

Robinson, of Steuben, donated the lobster to the Mount Desert Oceanarium....Bette Spurling, who works at the oceanarium, said lobster shells are usually a blend of the three primary colors: red, yellow and blue. Those colors mix to form the greenish-brown color of most lobsters. This lobster, though, has no blue in half of its shell, she said. Bernard Arseneau, a former manager at the oceanarium's lobster hatchery, said lobsters also have a growth pattern in which the two sides develop independently of each other. The oceanarium has received only three two-toned lobsters in its 35 years of existence, staff members said.

Manos: The Hands of Fate....Figurines?

Perhaps some of you are familiar with the TV show "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (MST3K), which lampooned horrible science-fiction B movies with their quick wit, drawing from literature, music, pop culture, and other more obscure references for their comments (also called MSTing).

As I was poking around on eBay to see if any MST3K seasons were on DVD, I came across some figurines from their #1 most hated movie that they made fun of, called "Manos: The Hands of Fate." One of the characters, Torgo, has become a cult favorite from the movie.

They also included one of the Master as well, complete with his arms outstretched to show the red hands on his gown (hence, Manos). This was one of the worst movies ever made that they MSTed, but it was also one of the funniest. If you haven't seen it, you can view it in installments, starting with 1 of 10, here.
